Lilo & Stitch (2002)
Directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, Lilo & Stitch follows a lonely Hawaiian girl who forms an unexpected bond with a chaotic alien experiment seeking refuge on Earth. The film blends sci-fi comedy with heartfelt family drama, exploring themes of belonging, grief, and the meaning of ohana. Its hand-drawn artistry, emotional sincerity, and offbeat humor made it a standout of early-2000s Disney animation.

Lilo & Stitch (2025)
Live-action adaptation reimagines the beloved story for a new generation, blending the originals themes of cultural identity, alien mischief, and family healing with updated visual effects and contemporary Hawaiian representation. The film continues to explore the power of ohana while introducing Stitch through a modern, hybrid live-action lens. Its blend of nostalgia and reinvention positions it as a major revival of the franchise.
