Directed by Michael Almereyda, Nadja stars Elina Löwensohn as the daughter of Count Dracula, drifting through contemporary New York after her fathers death. Peter Fonda and Martin Donovan co-star in this stylised vampire film that blends gothic horror, deadpan humour and an offbeat independent sensibility. Shot largely in black-and-white, the film reworks familiar Dracula mythology in a distinctly 1990s urban setting.
