Open Season (2006 2015)

The Open Season franchise (2006 2015) follows the unlikely friendship between Boog, a domesticated grizzly bear, and Elliot, a fast-talking mule deer, as they navigate life in the wild and a series of forest misadventures. The series blends broad comedy with family-friendly storytelling, emphasizing themes of belonging, loyalty, and embracing ones true nature.
Across four films:
Open Season (2006)
Open Season 2 (2008)
Open Season 3 (2010)
Open Season 4: Scared Silly (2015)
The franchise expands with new animal characters, escalating woodland escapades, and a playful tone built around slapstick humor and forest-community chaos. Its mix of colorful animation and warm, character-driven comedy made it a staple of 2000s family entertainment.
