Directed by Oren Peli, Paranormal Activity is a found footage horror film centered on a couple experiencing increasingly disturbing supernatural events inside their home. Using security cameras and handheld video recordings, the film follows strange nighttime occurrences linked to an unseen demonic presence. The low-budget production became a major horror breakthrough and launched the long-running Paranormal Activity franchise.

A young couple becomes convinced their suburban home is being haunted by a demonic presence. In the hope of finding some evidence they set up a video camera in their bedroom to film the room as they sleep. What they record is more terrifying than they could ever have imagined.
