Directed by Ti West and starring Mia Goth, Pearl follows a young woman living on an isolated Texas farm in 1918 who dreams of escaping her restrictive home life and becoming a performer. As frustration, repression and obsession intensify, Pearls ambitions give way to increasingly violent behaviour. The film serves as a prequel to X and explores the origins of its title character.

A troubled young woman pursues stardom in a desperate attempt to escape the boredom, loneliness, and lovelessness of life in her small town. As life on her parents farm grows more and more frustrating, her mask of sanity slowly starts to slip.
