François Truffaut co-writes and directs this tribute to childhood innocence and resilience. Most of the children in the French town of Thiers are consumed with simple issues like school and first loves, but some are facing far more serious problems. When the abuse Julien Leclou (Philippe Goldmann) has been forced to endure becomes public, the townsfolk finally become aware of the pain many of their children experience.
