Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, Prey (2022) is a science fiction action thriller set in the early 18th century Great Plains. Starring Amber Midthunder as a young Comanche warrior, the film follows her struggle to prove herself as a hunter when a technologically advanced extraterrestrial predator arrives on Earth. Blending historical setting with survival-driven tension, the film reinvigorates the long-running Predator franchise. Prey was widely praised for its stripped-down storytelling and atmospheric intensity.
