Sahara (1983) follows a woman who disguises herself as a man to compete in a desert car race, only to be captured by rival tribes amid political tensions and shifting alliances. Mixing adventure spectacle with light action and romantic elements, the film emphasizes desert survival, cultural encounters and large-scale set pieces typical of early-1980s Hollywood adventure cinema. Its tone blends melodrama, romance and exoticized adventure imagery.
