Directed by Lawrence Kasdan and starring Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn, Kevin Costner and Danny Glover, Silverado follows four gunmen whose paths converge as they head toward a frontier town controlled by corrupt lawmen and a powerful rancher. Combining large-scale western action, horseback chases, gunfights and personal conflicts, the film draws deliberately on the traditions of the classic Hollywood western. Bruce Broughtons score and the films sound both received Academy Award nominations.
