Joe Dantes Small Soldiers (1998) turns a suburban toy store into a war zone when a new line of action figures are implanted with military microchips and come to life. Blending sci-fi adventure, dark comedy, and social satire, Dante delivers a sharp, effects-driven tale about technology, consumerism, and childhood chaos a cult favorite mixing Gremlins energy with 90s tech fantasy.

Från IMDB:
When missile technology is used to enhance toy action figures, the toys soon begin to take their battle programming too seriously.
