Michael Ashton is a security adviser and assignment leader. His company provides security to British-owned overseas companies and assets.
His latest assignment protecting a British-owned diamond mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo looks routine enough and should be straightforward.
That is until the shocking discovery that in the Congo, diamonds may not be as valuable as young girls who keep disappearing without trace.
As the ex-guards major and his team dig deeper, it becomes clear that dark and evil forces are at work - a conspiracy that goes to the top of European and British industry and politics.
These heinous crimes cannot be ignored. Michael and his team are in mortal danger as they race across Africa, Europe, and Britain to bring those responsible to justice.
