Directed by Marc Forster, Stranger Than Fiction stars Will Ferrell as Harold Crick, an IRS auditor who discovers that his life is being narrated by an author who may be writing his death. Emma Thompson, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Dustin Hoffman co-star in this offbeat comedy-drama about routine, fiction, mortality and unexpected change. The film mixes everyday realism with a strange fantasy premise and a quieter dramatic tone than Ferrells broader comedies.

Från IMDB:
I.R.S. auditor Harold Crick suddenly finds his mundane Chicago life to be the subject of narration only he can hear: narration that begins to affect his entire existence, from his work to his love life to his death.
