Japanese animated fantasy adventure written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. Souta Munakata (voice of Hokuto Matsumura) is a mysterious man who travels across Japan looking for doors in abandoned places that need to be locked to prevent earthquakes from devastating the world. When teenager Suzume Iwato (Nanoka Hara) meets Souta, she is moved to help him. As she joins him on his quest, she must face her painful past and confront the loss of her mother.
