Taken (2008)
Directed by Pierre Morel, Taken follows a retired CIA operative who uses his specialized skills to track down his kidnapped daughter in Europe. The film blends tight pacing with procedural action as he navigates criminal networks and escalating threats. Its focused intensity and singular rescue mission helped establish a modern template for revenge-driven thrillers.

Taken 2 (2012)
Directed by Olivier Megaton, Taken 2 continues the story as the relatives of the criminals from the first film seek revenge, targeting Bryan Mills and his family in Istanbul. The film blends chase sequences with urban tension, shifting the dynamic as the hunter becomes a captive himself. Its emphasis on close-quarters action and family stakes maintains the series compact, high-pressure style.

Taken 3 (2014)
Directed by Olivier Megaton, Taken 3 follows Bryan Mills as he is framed for a murder, forcing him to go on the run while uncovering the conspiracy behind the attack on his family. The film blends fugitive-thriller elements with the series established tactical action, focusing on evasion, investigation, and personal integrity. Its broader scope and emphasis on clearing his name give the trilogy a more expansive final chapter.
