Directed by Tsui Hark, The Blade (1995) is a visually intense martial arts film inspired by the legacy of Hong Kongs swordplay cinema. Starring Vincent Zhao, the film follows a blacksmiths apprentice seeking revenge after losing his arm in a brutal confrontation. Known for its raw editing style and gritty tone, the film reinterprets classic wuxia themes through a darker and more visceral lens.
