Directed by James Foley, The Corruptor stars Chow Yun-fat as Nick Chen, a veteran New York police officer caught between his duties and the criminal powers controlling Chinatown. When rookie cop Danny Wallace, played by Mark Wahlberg, joins his unit, the two are drawn into a violent conflict involving rival Chinese gangs, drug trafficking and police corruption. The film combines gritty urban crime with shootouts, betrayal and a morally compromised cop partnership.
