Directed by Bryan Bertino and starring Marin Ireland and Michael Abbott Jr., The Dark and the Wicked follows two siblings who return to their isolated family farm as their dying fathers condition worsens. Their mothers disturbing behaviour and a series of increasingly sinister events suggest that something malevolent has taken hold of the household. The film is a bleak supernatural horror built around family grief, isolation and psychological disintegration.
