Walter Hills The Driver (1978), starring Ryan ONeal, Bruce Dern, and Isabelle Adjani, is a minimalist neo-noir thriller about a professional getaway driver pursued by a relentless detective. With stripped-down dialogue, stylized car chases, and a cat-and-mouse battle between archetypal characters, the film has become a cult classic and a key influence on later works like Drive (2011).

Från IMDB:
A getaway driver becomes the latest assignment for a tenacious detective.
