Created by Allan Cubitt, The Fall (2013 2016) stars Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan. The series follows Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson as she investigates a series of murders in Belfast while the audience simultaneously follows the life of the killer, Paul Spector. Combining psychological tension with an unusually intimate portrait of both hunter and hunted, the series became one of the defining crime dramas of the 2010s.
