The Ghost Ship (1943): Mark Robsons The Ghost Ship, produced by Val Lewton, is a psychological maritime chiller. A young officer joins a merchant ship under a captain whose increasingly tyrannical and paranoid behavior drives the crew into fear and silence. No supernatural phantoms here the ghosts are of authority, madness, and dread.

Bedlam (1946): Is the final entry in Val Lewtons legendary RKO horror cycle, directed by Mark Robson. Set in 18th-century Londons infamous asylum, it follows an actress who dares to defy the cruel Master Sims (Boris Karloff) and is confined among the inmates. Gothic atmosphere, period detail, and psychological terror merge in a socially charged tale of madness and power.

Från IMDB:
Third Officer Tom Merriam accuses Captain Will Stone of being a homicidal maniac, but no one believes him.
