The Grapes of Death (1978) is a French horror film directed by Jean Rollin, set in rural wine country where contaminated grapes trigger a violent, zombie-like outbreak. Mixing slow-burn dread with exploitation aesthetics, the film unfolds as a bleak survival tale amid decaying villages and social collapse. It stands as a distinctive example of late-1970s European zombie horror with an unsettling, pastoral edge.
