Kiyoshi Kurosawas The Guard From Underground (1992) blends office drama with horror as a new employee discovers her workplace stalked by an unstable former sumo wrestler turned security guard. Mixing social critique with slasher menace, the film foreshadows Kurosawas later mastery of psychological and atmospheric Japanese horror.
