The Hitmans Bodyguard (2017), directed by Patrick Hughes, is an action comedy pairing Ryan Reynolds as a by-the-book protection agent with Samuel L. Jackson as an unrepentant assassin. Built around clashing personalities, rapid-fire dialogue, and exaggerated action set pieces, the film prioritizes humor and character friction over suspense or realism. Gary Oldman co-stars as the primary antagonist.
