The Last Son (2021), directed by Tim Sutton, is a bleak and revisionist Western about a violent outlaw convinced a prophecy demands he kill his own sons to prevent a greater evil. Starring Sam Worthington alongside Colson Baker and Thomas Jane, the film emphasizes fatalism, brutality, and moral decay over traditional Western heroics. Its tone is grim and introspective rather than adventurous.
