The Lawnmower Man (1992)
Directed by Brett Leonard, The Lawnmower Man stars Pierce Brosnan as scientist Lawrence Angelo, who uses experimental virtual-reality technology and drugs to increase the intelligence of gardener Jobe Smith, played by Jeff Fahey. As Jobes mental abilities develop far beyond expectations, the experiment gives him increasingly dangerous powers and draws him deeper into the virtual world. The film combines early-1990s virtual-reality science fiction with psychological suspense, technological transformation and a growing struggle for control.

Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace (1995)
Directed by Farhad Mann, Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace continues the story of Jobe Smith, now connected to a powerful virtual-reality system and involved in the development of technology capable of controlling computer networks worldwide. When teenage hacker Peter Parkette discovers Jobes plans, he seeks the help of computer engineer Benjamin Trace to stop him. Matt Frewer, Patrick Bergin and Austin OBrien star in this cyberpunk sequel built around virtual reality, computer warfare and a battle for control of an increasingly connected world.
