Directed by Carl Reiner and starring Steve Martin, Kathleen Turner and David Warner, The Man with Two Brains follows brilliant neurosurgeon Michael Hfuhruhurr after he marries the manipulative Dolores and later falls in love with a disembodied brain. The film parodies mad-scientist movies, brain-transplant science fiction and romantic melodrama through Steve Martin and Carl Reiners absurd comedy style. The screenplay was conceived partly as a spoof of Donovans Brain (1953).
