Directed by Sammo Hung, The Owl vs Bumbo stars Hung and George Lam as two former thieves who are blackmailed into helping at a youth probation centre while their criminal past continues to cause trouble. Deanie Ip and Michelle Yeoh, in her first film role, co-star in this Hong Kong comedy mixing crooks, juvenile delinquents, romance and occasional martial-arts action. Produced by D&B Films, the film combines Sammo Hungs comic persona with a more character-driven story about two unlikely mentors
