Directed by Simon Wincer, The Phantom (1996) brings Lee Falks classic comic-strip hero to the big screen. Billy Zane stars as Kit Walker the latest in a long line of masked crusaders sworn to protect the jungle island of Bengalla from greed and evil. Blending pulp adventure, light fantasy, and comic-book heroics, this 1930s-set escapade channels the swashbuckling spirit of Indiana Jones and golden-age serials.
