One of Hammers most unsettling Gothic tales, The Reptile follows a young couple who inherit a Cornish cottage only to uncover a terrifying local curse. When villagers begin dying from mysterious snake-like wounds, the truth emerges: a woman transformed into a reptilian creature stalks the night. Blending Gothic atmosphere, rural superstition, and Hammers signature monster horror, the film remains a chilling entry in the studios mid-1960s output.
