Directed by Juan José Campanella and starring Ricardo Darín and Soledad Villamil, The Secret in Their Eyes follows retired court investigator Benjamín Espósito as he revisits an unresolved rape and murder case that has haunted him for twenty-five years. Moving between the investigation and his long-unspoken feelings for former colleague Irene, the film combines crime mystery, memory, justice and romantic drama against the backdrop of 1970s Argentina. It won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
