Created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, The Secret Service follows eccentric parish priest Father Stanley Unwin, who secretly works for British intelligence organisation B.I.S.H.O.P. Together with his assistant Matthew Harding, he undertakes missions involving spies, saboteurs, criminals and experimental technology, often using a device capable of shrinking people and objects. The 13-episode series combines espionage and science fiction with Gerry Andersons Supermarionation and live-action footage.
