John McTiernans The Thomas Crown Affair (1999), starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo, reimagines the stylish heist-romance of the 1968 original. This time Crown is a suave billionaire art thief who steals a Monet from a museum, only to fall into a seductive cat-and-mouse with an insurance investigator. Sleek, witty, and glamorous, the film blends heist thrills with one of the decades most iconic romantic duels.
