Directed by Louis Leterrier and Corey Yuen and produced by Luc Besson, The Transporter (2002) launched Jason Statham as a defining action star of the 2000s. The film follows a professional driver specializing in high-risk deliveries who breaks his own rules, leading to a violent confrontation with organized criminals. Combining European action sensibilities with Hong Kong-influenced fight choreography, the film established the foundation for the Transporter franchise and remains a key early entry in Stathams action career.
