Directed by Burt Kennedy, The War Wagon stars John Wayne and Kirk Douglas as uneasy partners who assemble a crew to steal a fortune in gold from a heavily armed stagecoach. Their target is an armored wagon protected by a Gatling gun and dozens of guards, turning the robbery into an elaborate Western heist. Based on Clair Huffakers book Badman, the film combines classic Western action with the chemistry and dry humor of Wayne and Douglas
