Starring Cliff Richard at the height of his early music career, The Young Ones is a British musical comedy about a group of young people trying to save their youth club from demolition. Combining pop performances, light comedy and youth-oriented romance, the film became one of the defining British pop musicals of the early 1960s and helped establish Cliff Richard as a major screen presence alongside his music career.
