Directed by Terence Young, Thunderball stars Sean Connery as James Bond in a 007 mission involving stolen nuclear weapons, SPECTRE and an underwater search in the Bahamas. Claudine Auger, Adolfo Celi and Luciana Paluzzi co-star in a Bond film built around espionage, blackmail, diving sequences and large-scale 1960s spy action. The film is one of the key Sean Connery-era Bond entries and expanded the franchises spectacle with underwater set pieces and SPECTRE intrigue.
