Timeline (2003), directed by Richard Donner and based on Michael Crichtons novel, is a science-fiction adventure centered on a group of students sent back to 14th-century France using experimental technology. Trapped during a brutal medieval conflict, they must survive warfare and political intrigue while racing to return to their own time. The film blends historical settings with speculative science rather than myth or magic.
