Hammer Films final horror feature, To the Devil a Daughter (1976) blends Gothic atmosphere with disturbing occult themes. Christopher Lee plays a defrocked priest who prepares Nastassja Kinskis young nun as the vessel for a demonic rebirth, while Richard Widmark races to stop the cults sinister plan. With its eerie mix of Gothic ritual, satanic menace, and Wheatleys dark storytelling, it stands as one of Hammers boldest and most controversial finales.
