Directed by Satoshi Kon and produced by Madhouse, Tokyo Godfathers follows three homeless companions who discover an abandoned baby on Christmas Eve. Gin, Hana and teenage runaway Miyuki set out across Tokyo to find the childs parents, encountering gangsters, family conflicts and a series of unlikely coincidences along the way. Featuring the voices of Tōru Emori, Yoshiaki Umegaki and Aya Okamoto, the anime combines comedy and human drama in a contemporary Christmas story about homelessness, chosen family and reconciliation.
