War of the Worlds (2019)

Created by Howard Overman and starring Gabriel Byrne and Daisy Edgar-Jones, War of the Worlds reimagines H. G. Wells alien invasion concept through a modern post-apocalyptic television series focused on humanitys collapse after a devastating extraterrestrial attack. Combining survival-driven suspense, dystopian sci-fi and psychological tension, the series follows scattered survivors attempting to navigate a shattered Europe while uncovering the nature of the invading force. The story blends alien invasion horror, emotional family conflict and serialized mystery within a bleak near-future setting.

Från IMDB:
In London during the Edwardian era, George and Amys attempt to start a life together is interrupted by a Martian invasion of Earth.
