Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern star in this black comedy thriller written and directed by David Lynch. Young lovers Sailor Ripley and Lula Fortune (Cage and Dern) go on the run together to escape Lula's mother Marietta (Diane Ladd), who disapproves of their relationship. However, chaos ensues when Marietta hires multiple men to track them down and kill Sailor. The cast also includes Willem Dafoe, Crispin Glover and Isabella Rossellini.
