Yakuza Like a Dragon is part of the popular Yakuza series, known for its deep story, complex characters and detailed depiction of Japan's underground world. The game introduces a new protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, a low-ranking yakuza member who is betrayed by his own family. Unlike previous games in the series, Yakuza: Like a Dragon introduces turn-based RPG combat, giving gameplay a new feel while retaining the rich story and detailed environment the series is known for. The game also explores new locations, including Yokohama's sprawling Isezaki Ijincho district.
