Yes Minister (1980 1984)
Yes Minister follows the newly appointed Cabinet Minister Jim Hacker as he navigates the inner workings of British government while constantly outmaneuvered by the subtle, strategic Sir Humphrey Appleby. The series blends sharp political satire with character-driven comedy, exposing bureaucratic maneuvering, civil-service logic, and the gap between public messaging and actual policy. Its witty writing and dry humor made it one of Britains most acclaimed political comedies.

Yes, Prime Minister (1986 1988)
Yes, Prime Minister continues Jim Hackers journey after his rise to the nations highest political office, where he faces even greater challenges still matched by Sir Humphreys refined ability to guide, delay, and complicate decisions. The series blends political insight with clever wordplay and escalating strategic gamesmanship. Its polished satire and enduring relevance solidified the franchise as a cornerstone of British political comedy.
