Sam Raimis Darkman (1990) stars Liam Neeson as a scientist horribly disfigured and left for dead, who reinvents himself as a vigilante with shifting identities. Mixing superhero pulp with horror and noir style, Raimi delivers a cult favorite that fuses comic-book action with gothic revenge tragedy.

Darkman II: The Return of Durant (1995) revives the cult vigilante saga with Arnold Vosloo replacing Liam Neeson. Still scarred and seeking revenge, Darkman battles the resurrected mobster Durant in this direct-to-video sequel heavy on pulp action and comic-book tone.

Darkman III: Die Darkman Die (1996) continues the pulp saga, with Arnold Vosloos Darkman torn between his quest for revenge and a chance to reclaim his humanity. A direct-to-video sequel, it blends comic-book action with noirish revenge tropes and tragic undertones.
