Directed by Wes Craven, Scream 4 (2011) returns to Woodsboro as Sidney Prescott visits her hometown while a new series of murders begins. As Ghostface resurfaces, a younger generation becomes entangled in the killings amid a media-driven culture shaped by remakes and online notoriety. The film continues the franchises self-aware approach to slasher conventions while updating its setting for a new era.
