Directed by Alan Taylor and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney and Jason Clarke, Terminator Genisys sends Kyle Reese back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor, only for him to discover that the past has already been radically altered. Sarah has grown up with a reprogrammed Terminator as her guardian, while a new version of Skynet threatens both the present and the future. The film reworks events and characters from the earlier Terminator films through an alternate timeline.
