Scott Derricksons The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) reimagines the 1951 sci-fi classic with Keanu Reeves as Klaatu, an alien envoy who arrives on Earth to deliver a dire warning about humanitys destructive nature. Blending large-scale spectacle with moral reflection, the film explores fear, faith, and the fate of the planet in the face of extinction.
