Directed by Jon Harris, The Descent: Part 2 continues the British cave-horror story from Neil Marshalls The Descent. Shauna Macdonald and Natalie Mendoza return in a sequel where a rescue/search team enters the underground cave system and faces the same claustrophobic darkness, crawler creatures and violent survival horror. The film combines creature horror, cave isolation, rescue-mission tension and brutal underground attacks.
