Directed by Roman Polanski, The Ghost Writer stars Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan in a political conspiracy thriller based on Robert Harriss novel The Ghost. McGregor plays a ghostwriter hired to complete the memoirs of a former British Prime Minister, only to uncover secrets connected to international politics and intelligence operations. The film won the Silver Bear for Best Director at the Berlin International Film Festival and combines political intrigue, mystery and suspense with a strong atmosphere of paranoia.
