In turn-of-the-century Vienna, master illusionist Eisenheim dazzles audiences with seemingly impossible feats while pursuing a forbidden romance with a duchess. As political forces close in, his illusions blur the line between deception, magic, and the supernatural. The Illusionist combines period drama, mystery, and romantic fantasy with a touch of the uncanny.
